Winter Concert Reflection
We were on a wild ride on Sunday! Thank you for your patience as we waited for the fire alarm to finally be turned off. The concert was one of our best, maybe our best. It’s something that we have been saying quite a lot the last several years, that our latest concert is the best so far. It’s gratifying to hear, but I don’t want to put pressure on you to keep out-performing the last event. Let’s just say that we had many wonderful moments and it’s a concert you should feel proud of. We keep improving in our balance, phrasing, intonation and tone. We are listening more to each other, really playing with others in mind when we do. We drag less, but it’s still something we will continue to work on. We didn’t have any let downs in any of the pieces, just a couple of early entrances, but nothing of consequence. Everyone stepped up, every section. Every rehearsal, I appreciate the opportunity to work with such wonderful people. I take what we do very seriously, but always done in a spirit of fun and comradery! I had so much fun conducting you on Sunday! Thank you for that. I wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

From Karen - Samarkand - Thank You!
Dear Pops Band!

Thank you for a great (long) rehearsal last Tuesday and for another wonderful performance at Samarkand on Saturday! I know it was not easy coming out in the rain but we were very well received by the Samarkand community who also came out in the rain to hear us! Our new repertoire went well and we will continue to make improvements. A special thank you to Chet for filling in on baritone for John who was under the weather. Looking forward to our next Pops performance in April at the Rockwood Women's Club. Stay dry, safe and well!!

Rehearsal Announcements
From time to time we all have important things we want to say to the band during our rehearsal break. We are a large and diverse group so it seems reasonable to have some type of guidelines concerning these announcements.
The Board of Directors recently adopted a policy that is currently in force. Please read this policy.
